Who We Help

Heartland Scholar House serves single parents who are pursuing higher education or career training while raising children. We welcome any parent with an educational goal and provide comprehensive, community-based services designed to support both generations.

Our two-generation approach recognizes that when a parent succeeds, their children benefit too. By investing in families, we help break cycles of poverty and create lasting pathways to opportunity.

No matter where you're starting from, we're here to help you build a stronger future—for yourself and your family.

"The help Heartland provided came when I needed it the most. It was a very low time in my life, but my coordinator not only helped me through it, her encouragement of me gave me hope and strength to work through it. She cared so much, and it showed."
